Research update

Menwith Hill information update     August 2020

Members and supporters of MHAC try to keep up with changes at the base, in particular changes which affect the role of the base and the military related activities that are carried out there.

This information is made available in regular newsletters and a leaflet, both of which are distributed as widely as possible.

Recently, members applied for a grant to pay a researcher to pull together information which has become available in the last few years, for example, increased use of drone warfare and the revelations of Edward Snowden.

The group is very pleased to have been successful in obtaining the grant, which will pay for a researcher to do the work and for written and visual (film) results to be published. It is hoped that these will be available in 2021.  There will be a ‘launch’ event for the updated material so please keep a look out for date and venue!
